On Sunday 19 June 2022, the executive committee of the Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC) nominated Samad Baloch, President of the organization during a meeting. The post was vacant after the demise of Dr Habib Malik. The executive committee meeting, presided by BHRC’s executive president Dr Naseer Dashti, appointed Qambar Malik as General Secretary, Dr Khurshid Karim as Joint Secretary and Kamalan Baloch as Information Secretary of the organization. It was also decided that Mir Ghulam Hussain would continue as the cultural secretary of the organization.
